The area

Lagarde-Fimarcon is a tiny village of the Lomagne, in the Gers, a few kilometres from Lectoure, a town of art and history with its listed cathedral. Lectoure's market is on Friday morning. Close by, the collegiate church of La Romieu, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Way of St James, armagnac houses to visit and balloon rides over the hills.

Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Castelnau des Fieumarcon cost?

From £160,000, all-inclusive, for about 80 guests, all sleeping in the village: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the village directly?

You can, it's a beautiful place. The village rents you its houses and spaces from Friday to Monday, and introduces its partners. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the service, the decor, the flowers and the music. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the village keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 200 for the party, with over 150 at the table in the vaulted hall and the terrace on top. The sweetest format is about 80 guests: everyone sleeps in the village's 84 beds, and the morning after is spent among neighbours.

Which dates are still free?

The village is booked from Friday to Monday, at the very least. Tell us your date, we check with Castelnau des Fieumarcon and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, outdoors facing the hills: on the terrace at the edge of the ramparts, or under the village's old wedding tree. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Lagarde-Fimarcon?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the venue. Lagarde-Fimarcon town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony in the village.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Toulouse airport is 1 h 30 away, Bordeaux airport 1 h 45, and Agen station is 4 h 30 from Paris by train. The village arranges airport transfers and coaches on request, and 84 of your guests sleep on site.

How late can we party?

Until the early hours: the vaulted hall in the stables is made for dancing late, and the party can go on until 6 am. Everyone then walks back to their own house, inside the village.

Where do we get ready?

In the village, from the Thursday: you two and 4 of your people arrive a day before everyone else to settle in. One of you in one house, the other in another, each with your people and a garden of your own.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes. The venue lists itself as accessible, the car park is on site, and the village is made for walking. Tell us who needs a little extra care, and we choose their house with the village.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. For the table, the village suggests its partner caterers, but the choice stays yours.
