The area

Fontvieille, 3.5 km away, is the village of Daudet's windmill, at the foot of the Alpilles, between Arles and Les Baux-de-Provence. Market on Monday and Friday mornings along avenue des Moulins, the pine avenue up to the windmill, and on the estate, its vines and oil mill to visit and taste. Les Baux and the Carrières de Lumières are close by: a lovely afternoon before the welcome dinner.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Château d'Estoublon cost?

From £130,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you the whole house and its 10 suites, with a butler and a private chef. You then bring together the caterer for your guests, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

About 100 is our base here: dinner is set on the forecourt, in the garden or among the vines. Twenty of your guests sleep at the château, in its 10 suites, the others a few minutes away. For more than 100, tell us your number: we confirm it with the château in writing, along with your price.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing.

Will other visitors be on the estate?

The château and its private gardens are yours alone. Around them the estate carries on: its restaurant, La Table d'Estoublon, and its shop welcome their own guests, and the restaurant can be privately hired too, for your welcome dinner for instance.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes: at the foot of the Great Staircase, facing the vines or in the garden between the cypresses. Your words, your officiant, your people around you, then photos in the olive groves.

Can we have our civil wedding in Fontvieille?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Fontvieille town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Where do we get ready?

In the château's suites, each one decorated differently. In the morning, the hammam to unwind, hair and make-up on site, and your closest a door away. Then you come down to the garden, where everyone is waiting.

Will our grandparents and the children be comfortable?

Yes. The château's two floors are connected by a lift, and the suites have underfloor heating for cooler evenings. The children have their nannies, the pool, pony rides and, in season, olive picking with the estate's Petit Moulinier, and even an olive tree of their own to plant.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Avignon TGV station is 50 minutes away, 2 h 45 from Paris by train, and Marseille airport 1 h 10. Twenty sleep at the château; for everyone else, we share the best addresses in Les Baux, Fontvieille and Maussane.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
