The area

The Clos d'Hullias looks over the valley in the north of the Gard, 4 km from Aiguèze, a village perched above the Ardèche gorges and one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. On Saturday morning, the big market in Pont-Saint-Esprit, the town of a medieval bridge over the Rhône. For those who stay a day longer, the gorges by canoe, under the natural arch of the Pont d'Arc.

Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at the Clos d'Hullias cost?

From £43,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The estate rents you its hamlet for the weekend, with its furniture and its sound system. You then bring together the caterer, the wines, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120, from the ceremony to the party in the cellar. The evening before, the welcome dinner at the estate gathers up to 40 of your people, and 28 of them sleep on site, plus the two of you in the bridal apartment.

Which dates are still free?

The estate hosts weddings from April to October, at weekends as well as midweek. Tell us your date, we check with the Clos d'Hullias and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, on the lavender terraces, high above the big pool: dry-stone walls, olive trees and the valley behind you, and the sound system is already there. Or in the olive grove. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Saint-Christol-de-Rodières?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the estate. Saint-Christol-de-Rodières town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the estate.

Our guests are coming from far away. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Avignon TGV station is an hour away, Aix-en-Provence TGV an hour and a half, and the A7 motorway 25 minutes. Those flying in land in Marseille, Montpellier or Nîmes, and we send them the route with the addresses. 28 of your guests sleep at the estate, and taxis are available at any hour.

How do our guests get back after the party?

28 of them only have a few stone steps to climb. The others stay in the hotels and guesthouses nearby, and taxis are available at any hour: we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Will our grandparents manage?

Yes, with a little help: the hamlet unfolds in terraces and stone stairways, which is half its charm. We seat them close to each moment, keep a comfortable chair for them in the shade, and plan a helping arm at every step.

Where do we get ready?

In the bridal apartment, 60 m² offered by the estate, with its dressing room, its large bathroom and the view over the valley. One of you gets ready there, the other in one of the hamlet's three houses.

Can we bring our own wines?

Yes, the estate charges no corkage fee. The wines and the champagne you love, or the ones we choose together at the tasting: they are served on the olive grove terrace, the valley in front of you.

And if it rains?

Rain plan: everything is on site and included in the estate's rental. Dinner moves under the nomad tent and the white pagoda tents of the olive grove, and the party carries on under the vaults of the cellar, right next door.
