The area
Ménerbes, 3 km away, is a hilltop village of the Luberon listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France: a market on Thursday mornings from April to October, and a House of Truffle and Wine for a first tasting. Gordes, Roussillon, Lourmarin and the antique dealers of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are all less than 30 minutes away, for a stroll before the welcome dinner.

Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at La Bastide de Marie cost?
From £220,000, all-inclusive, for about 80 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.
Can the price change?
Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.
What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?
We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.
Can we insure our wedding?
Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.
What if we booked the bastide directly?
You can, it's a beautiful house. The bastide privately hires out its rooms and villas to you for the weekend, with its own table and wines. You then bring together the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer, the menus and the seating plan. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the bastide keeps its own rate. You come to get married.
How many guests can we invite?
From 70 to 90 guests at dinner: that is the bastide's size, and it asks for at least 70 adults, depending on the season. 46 of your guests sleep on site. For a standing cocktail dinner at the estate's cellar, up to 80.
Which dates are still free?
Tell us your date, we check with the bastide and reply in writing. It is open from May to November and hosts only a few weddings a year, so the earlier the better.
Can we have a secular ceremony on site?
Yes: in the rose garden, in the gardens, or facing the vines under a floral arch. For something more intimate, Villa Grenache, among the vines, works beautifully too. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.
Can we have our civil wedding in Ménerbes?
In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the venue. Ménerbes town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the bastide.
Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?
Yes: Avignon airport is 40 minutes away, Avignon TGV station 45 (2 h 40 from Paris by train), Marseille airport 1 h 15. The bastide's concierge arranges transfers from the station or the airport, and we share the best addresses around.
Where do our guests sleep?
46 people sleep on site, in the bastide's rooms and its two five-bedroom villas, breakfasts included. Rooms are billed directly by the bastide, to you or to each of your guests: you decide what you offer. For the others, the Mas Vermentino and its 6 bedrooms next door, and a 21-room hotel 3 km away.
Until what time can we party?
Until 3 am: the reception spaces are yours until then. After dinner, a late bar takes over, and a sweet and savoury buffet can arrive in the middle of the party for those who dance until the end.
What if it rains, or the mistral picks up?
Rain plan: the bastide has its rooms under cover, the veranda opening onto the gardens, the stone-walled dining room and the great salon around its monumental fireplace. When the mistral picks up, dinner moves inside too, by candlelight. We set it all out with you at the visit, so you can enjoy the garden with peace of mind.
Will other hotel guests be there during our weekend?
No: for your wedding, the bastide, Villa Grenache and Villa Syrah are privately hired for you and your guests. Right next door, the Mas Vermentino and its 6 bedrooms can be added if you'd like 12 more of your people to sleep on the estate.
Can we get married during the grape harvest?
Yes, and it's a lovely time: in September, the Domaine de Marie harvests its 26 hectares of vines. Your guests can take a pair of secateurs in the morning, then finish the morning with a tasting at the estate's cellar.
Where do we get ready?
At the bastide: a suite on one side, a villa on the other if you'd like to see each other only at the last moment, and the spa for a treatment in the morning. The bastide has its own wedding spa menu.
Will our families be comfortable, children and grandparents included?
Yes: children are welcome, with baby cots and babysitting on request, and so are dogs. Parking is private and free, right by the house, and the ground-floor rooms open straight onto the garden, handy for the grandparents.
