The area

The estate is in Biarritz, on the Pyrenees side, ten minutes from the airport. Les Halles de Biarritz open every morning from 7.30 to 2 pm, for a coffee and a plate at the oyster bar. And the Côte des Basques, the cradle of surfing, faces the coast of Spain: a first lesson for the guests who arrive early.

Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Domaine Elhorria cost?

From £47,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The estate rents you its patio, its lawns and its pool by the day, and suggests a local caterer. You then bring together the caterer, the tent, the furniture and the event insurance it asks for. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 500 under tents on the villa's lawns. For a seated dinner under a tent, count closer to 200, and we confirm the layout with the estate. The patio seats 100 and holds 250 standing, the pool and its pool house 150 for drinks or brunch.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with Domaine Elhorria and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, on the big lawn in front of the family cottage, the one the estate lists for ceremonies, or elsewhere in the park, your people walking down through the trees. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Biarritz?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the estate. Biarritz town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the estate.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Biarritz airport is 10 minutes from the estate and Biarritz station 5, and Spain is 30 minutes away. To sleep, we give you the best addresses in Biarritz and next door.

How do our guests get back after the party?

Up to 27 of them can sleep on the estate. The Château du Clair de Lune hotel is next door on the same avenue, and Biarritz 10 minutes away. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Where do we get ready?

On the estate, each in your own house when the cottages are yours: one of you in the studio cottage, the other in the family cottage with its five bedrooms, your people around you. The lawn of the ceremony is a short walk through the park.

And if it rains?

Dinner is under the tent anyway, and drinks move under the patio arcades, half covered. The lawns take several tents, so the ceremony can have its own. You decide a few days before, with the forecast in hand.

Can you really see the Pyrenees?

Yes. The main villa looks out to the mountains, and from the patio you have breakfast with the Pyrenees in the background. In late afternoon, when the vows are said on the lawn, the light settles on them.
