The area
Salon-de-Provence lies at the foot of the hill: the Château de l'Empéri above the old town, the house of Nostradamus, and the big Wednesday morning market in the town centre. Further out, Les Baux-de-Provence and the Carrières de Lumières, the Camargue and the calanques are each a day trip for your guests who arrive early.

Who is Fervenza?
Fervenza is a French company that plans weddings with everything included. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.
- French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
- Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at the Abbaye de Sainte-Croix cost?
From £43,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.
Can the price change?
Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.
What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?
We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.
Can we insure our wedding?
Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.
What if we booked the abbey directly?
You can, it's a lovely house. The abbey rents you its 25 rooms, its halls and its terraces, and its kitchen cooks for you. You then bring together the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer, the film and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the abbey keeps its own rate. You come to get married.
How many guests can we invite?
Up to 150 at table on the panoramic terrace, 130 indoors in the Montgallet hall, and 100 for the ceremony in the chapel. Up to 60 of your guests sleep at the abbey, the others in Salon-de-Provence, 5 km away.
Which dates are still free?
The abbey welcomes guests from 7 February to 20 December. Tell us your date, we check with the Abbaye de Sainte-Croix and reply in writing.
Will other hotel guests be there?
No. With the wedding exclusivity, the abbey is privately hired for you: its 25 rooms, its indoor and outdoor spaces and the restaurant are yours and your guests', from 6 pm the evening before until the next day.
Can we have a secular ceremony on site?
Yes, in the Romanesque chapel: up to 100 guests on either side of the aisle, the stone vaults above you, an arch of flowers at the far end. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.
Can we have our civil wedding in Salon-de-Provence?
In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the abbey. Salon-de-Provence town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the abbey.
Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?
Yes: Marseille airport is 35 km away, Salon-de-Provence station 5 km and the motorway exit 6 km. The nearest TGV station is Aix-en-Provence. Up to 60 of them sleep at the abbey, and we share the best addresses in Salon for the others.
How do our guests get back after the party?
Up to 60 of them just walk to their room, without ever getting back on the road. The others stay in Salon-de-Provence, 5 km down the hill. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.
Where do we get ready?
At the abbey. One of you in a suite with its private terrace over the valley, the other in another room, your people next door and the chapel within the abbey's walls. The abbey's spa also has a treatment room for two, to book at the spa's rates.
And in the July heat, or if it rains?
Your vows are under cover anyway, in the cool of the Romanesque chapel. In July, afternoons average 30 °C in Salon: drinks once the sun drops, dinner in the evening air. If it rains, the Montgallet hall seats up to 130 at table, and the Bernard hall can become the dance floor.
Will our grandparents manage easily?
Yes. The abbey has a room with its own garden adapted for reduced mobility, the parking is free and on site, and dogs are accepted. We walk the paths between the chapel and the terraces with you at the visit, to place everyone well.
What can you see from the terraces?
A 180° view over the plain of Salon, the Alpilles and the countryside around. On a clear day, the eye reaches the Sainte-Victoire mountain and the Étang de Berre, and at sunset the whole plain turns gold.
Coming from abroad: how does it work?
Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
Can we bring our own vendors?
Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. At the table, it's the abbey's own kitchen: everything is cooked on site, the cocktail hour included.
