Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you the whole site, rooms, park and pool included, with its staff, and opens its address book. You then bring together the flowers and decor, the music, the photographer, the altar and the brunch. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

Up to 160 at table, in the Orangerie or in the main courtyard, and 300 for drinks in the Orangerie. For a bigger party, a marquee in the park seats up to 250. Up to 70 of your guests sleep at the château.

The château welcomes guests from March to October. Tell us your date, we check with Château d'Arpaillargues and reply in writing, so you know quickly whether it is free.

Yes, in the park: the altar is set up on the lawn, under the tall trees, the park all around you. If the sky turns, the Orangerie takes over. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Arpaillargues-et-Aureillac town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Yes: the château is 4 km from Uzès and 25 km from Nîmes and its station. Up to 70 of them sleep at the château, and we share the best addresses in Uzès for the others.

At the château. One of you in the Marie d'Agoult suite on the first floor, the other in one of the suites, some with a marble fireplace, your people in the rooms next door. Hairdressers and beauty salons are in Uzès, 4 km away.

Past midnight, the party goes on: the château extends the evening hour by hour, in the Orangerie or under the vaults of the great hall. We confirm the exact closing time for your date, in writing.

In July, afternoons average 31 °C in Nîmes: the ceremony goes late in the day, and dinner in the courtyard, shaded by tall trees, behind thick stone walls. If it rains, the Orangerie seats up to 160 at table, and dancing is possible there.

Yes. Several rooms of the Magnanerie wing are on the garden level, the château has a room adapted for reduced mobility, and the parking is on site. Pets are accepted too.

Yes, that is the story the house tells. Marie d'Agoult, a great figure of the Romantic era, lived here. Laclos said he modelled Madame de Merteuil, in Dangerous Liaisons, on a marquise of the family, and Balzac borrowed the Bargetons, once lords of the château, for Lost Illusions.

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. At the table, it's the château's own kitchen, with one menu shared by all your guests.
